No new ruling or state action changes access: the status of the platforms we rank stays Available — dispute pending (as of October 13, 2026), and Rebet is still not offered in California. In the tribes' case against Kalshi, the Ninth Circuit's mandate issued on October 8, 2026 and the district court set a status conference for October 21, 2026.

California's statewide minimum wage is $16.90 an hour in 2026 and rises to $17.40 on January 1, 2027. The guide now leads with the certified rate, the year-by-year table and its sources.

Since October 2026, Polymarket US charges a price-based taker fee on orders that fill straight away. Orders that rest on the book pay no fee; rebates on them are limited to very high-volume traders from October 19, 2026. Our fee comparison and Polymarket review were updated.
